A Lovely Day for a London to Southend Bike Ride

Pop the date in your diary - Sunday 19th July 2020 is the day of the London to Southend bike ride. Do it for fun or do it for a good cause (or both), the Eastend to Southend journey is sure to brighten your Sunday. Cyclists set off from 7am to 9.10am to enjoy a bike ride of 52 miles - or 65 miles if you’re feeling up to the Shoeburyness extension - taking you from London’s Lee Valley VeloPark (Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park) to Southend’s Priory Park. Rated as a ‘3’ in intensity, regular and reasonably fit cyclists can enjoy the scenery on the signposted London to Southend bike ride.

If you’re local to Stratford and East London, or you’re looking for a pre-event warm up, you can simply cycle to Lee Valley VeloPark for your suggested start time. Not local? Don’t worry! Bike-Events.co.uk include transport options via train for an 8am start when booking tickets, and all routes to VeloPark are signposted from London Stratford’s Station.

Entry packs to the bike ride start from £23, with regular refreshment stops throughout. Book your tickets and find transport routes and enjoy the ride. Safe cycling - and bring your helmet!
