Our Community
Inspirational, vibrant and progressive - dedicated to instilling change for good A destination inspired by Stratford’s rich cultural heritage, nurtured by Olympic legacy and driven forward by community spirit.

Community Involvement

We're always looking to work more closely with the amazing people that surround us

We deliver a series of programmes to keep in touch with our immediate community and create a maximum positive impact for those around us. In the past we've worked with local primary school students to develop coding skills, partnered up with social enterprise Change Please and sponsored an immersive pop-up art exhibition looking at youth loneliness in London.

We also recently created The Orchard at IQL - an oasis of fruit trees that offer shade and calm to those working and living here - and supported the Young Entrepreneurs Alliance 6-month programme which is designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs with everything from creating a business plan to maintaining a healthy work/life balance. These are just some of the ways we're proud to support our local community and benefit those visiting, working and living in IQL.

Change Please at Workable

Launched in 2015, the social enterprise provides jobs, training, and access to housing for those in the local homeless community. Change Please are now serving up lattes, flat whites and americanos to the members of our co-working space, Workable.

Lendlease Challenge 2019

Local students were tasked to come up with an artistic design for the Visitors Centre entrance in the new Pavilion, basing their entries on what Stratford means to them. Right is the winning entry from Chobham Academy students, who the judges felt had responded most closely and accurately to the brief, having also thoroughly researched the history of Stratford and incorporated that into their design.
