Madge Gill is perhaps one of Britain’s most notable self-taught artists who just happened to live the latter part of her life in the Borough of Newham. In her artistic career she produced thousands of drawings, mostly done in black and white ink, and woven textiles.

The Line is now honouring Madge Gill with their own series of workshops, the last of which takes place on Sunday 23rd May at The House Mill on Three Mill Lane.

Try your own hand at textiles or line-drawing while you explore your own creativity.
