London Aquatics Centre has welcomed over 2 million visitors to its Olympian swimming pool facilities in East London. It has two 50m pools, a 25m diving pool and a range of high performance classes and clubs for you to join. All pools are easily accessible throughout the day, including lunchtimes.
Did you know swimming can reduce your risk of serious disease such as stroke and type 2 diabetes? It can also be relatively low impact, so no matter your age or ability you can reap the benefits of this type of exercise.
Lee Valley Veloparkhttps://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/en/content/cms/london2012/velo-park/ was the setting for a number of gold medals at the 2012 Olympic Games. The UK won track cycling events like Keirin, Team Pursuit, Sprint and Team Sprint. World records were broken and athletes like Laura Trott, Victoria Pendleton, Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny walked away with gold medals.
Now accessible to the public, the range of BMX, Track and Road cycling trails are on hand for any budding cyclist. There are a range of options available depending on your experience and ability or you can join the Lee Valley Cycling Club.
The Copper Box Arena Gym is only a short 15 minute walk from IQL. The Copper Box Arena Gym offers a range of classes for those looking for high intensity or just something a little more specialised.
