London Aquatics Centre has welcomed over 2 million visitors to its Olympian swimming pool facilities in East London. It has two 50m pools, a 25m diving pool and a range of high performance classes and clubs for you to join. All pools are easily accessible throughout the day, including lunchtimes.
Did you know swimming can reduce your risk of serious disease such as stroke and type 2 diabetes? It can also be relatively low impact, so no matter your age or ability you can reap the benefits of this type of exercise.
Lee Valley Velopark was the setting for a number of gold medals at the 2012 Olympic Games. The UK won track cycling events like Keirin, Team Pursuit, Sprint and Team Sprint. World records were broken and athletes like Laura Trott, Victoria Pendleton, Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny walked away with gold medals.
