Lanes on a running track

THE COMMUNITY TRACK AT LONDON STADIUM

Right next to London Stadium in Stratford, you’ll find The London Marathon Community Track. A sporting facility that features a 400m track which is available for public use and community groups.

It’s also home to the Newham and Essex Beagles – a local athletics group that’s heralded to be one of the best in Britain. You just need to look at some of their alumni as proof. Mo Farah, Daley Thompson and Christine Ohuruogu have all passed through the club before going on to win Olympic gold medals.

As well as the six-lane, 400m track, other facilities at The Community Track include:
- Full sized football pitch
- Athletics space for Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault and Javelin
- Floodlit track and field area
- 300 seat spectator stand
- Changing rooms and clubhouse facilities

There is a schedule of public track sessions where you can try out the facilities yourself, for as little as £2.20 per hour. Sessions for Summer 2019 run on certain Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5pm – 6.30pm and again at 7.30pm – 9pm.

If you want to book the facilities for your club or organisation, find out more and book via the London Stadium website.
