The best Valentine’s Day Restaurants in London to celebrate this February
Fancy treating your other half to a bit of romance this Valentine’s Day? Have a date to impress? You’ll be pleased to know that some of the most unique places for a date, are in Stratford, London. We’ve rounded up the best Valentine’s Day restaurants in London as well as some more memorable spots to visit in February.
Head up to the dizzy heights of Westfield’s top floor to visit the Sky Bar at Aspers Casino Stratford. From here you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the London skyline looking towards the Olympic Park. Either sit inside in the cosy sofa area or head out to the open-air terrace and enjoy the sights from there.
If you’re looking for something a little more invigorating, or let’s face it – surprising, then snap up a ticket for the ArcelorMittal Orbit. This 114.5 metre sculpture in the Olympic Park features an observation deck at the top so you can enjoy a few calm moments taking in the view before you speed down the 178-metre tunnel.
Wave goodbye to first date nerves – we have the perfect places to stir up a little conversation!
Head to Bat and Ball for an evening of fun on one of their ping-pong tables. They also offer craft beers, cocktails, fresh pizzas and more – winner buys the first round!
Dating a beer lover? Impress them by taking them to Tap East, home to a microbrewery and over 100 bottled beers (and 16 draft ales on tap). You’ll score some serious brownie points…
Need to push the boat out? Make a reservation at one of Stratford’s best rated restaurants.
Darkhorse Restaurant offers fresh, seasonal ingredients with dishes inspired by Northern Italian cuisine. The food is rich and rustic with fresh fish, organic wines, and delicious cocktails taking the spotlight. Although the dining here is a more casual affair, the food is decadent and receives incredible reviews.
Forman’s world famous London Cure Smoked Salmon has to be the highlight of the menu at Forman’s restaurant. There are great views of the Olympic Stadium and River Lea, as well as a viewing gallery to see into the smokehouse where their world-famous salmon is smoked.
Finish the evening with a visit to the terrace bar at the Allegra restaurant where you’ll find an intimate outdoor space under a cedar-cantilevered roof (the weather won’t be ruining this moment for you, don’t worry).
If you’re a Stratford local and have exhausted all the usual haunts, we’ve got just the thing.
Take an evening river cruise on the Alfred Le Roy and experience Hackney Wick from a totally different perspective. The barge features a cocktail bar and event space, so you can sit back, cosy up and enjoy your favourite tipple while cruising down the waterways. Make sure to book in advance though – spaces are limited.
Dating a foodie? Treat them to an evening of bread baking at artisan bakery, Signorelli. At their East Village location they offer sourdough or Italian bread baking classes every Thursday from 6-9pm.
The class even offers a glass of wine and an apperitivo style dinner. Book your place here – you can thank us later!
