We’ve rounded up the best Valentine’s Day restaurants in London as well as some more memorable spots to visit in February.

Fine Dining

Haugen has prepared a special Valentine’s day three-course menu for £45 per person, with vegetarian and vegan options available for each course. For an extra romantic touch, order the chocolate fondue for dessert – the strawberry, pineapple, banana and pear slices dipped in decadent Swiss chocolate will be the perfect Valentine’s treat.

Darkhorse Restaurant offers fresh, seasonal ingredients with dishes inspired by Northern Italian cuisine. The food is rich and rustic with fresh fish, organic wines, and delicious cocktails taking the spotlight. Although the dining here is a more casual affair, the food is decadent and receives incredible reviews.

On the 7th floor of Manhattan Loft Gardens you’ll find Allegra, a restaurant driven by seasonality, simplicity, and flavour. They even have an incredible Valentine’s Day set menu, perfect for a romantic treat.

Finish the evening with a visit to the terrace bar at the Allegra restaurant where you’ll find an intimate outdoor space under a cedar-cantilevered roof - the weather won’t be ruining this moment for you!

For a dinner with a twist, try Signorelli’s Valentine’s day pasta masterclass. Learn how to make heart-shaped truffle ravioli and penne with your partner, then enjoy your creation with bottomless wine or prosecco with the rest of the class. Suitable for all levels of cooking, this is a fun and interesting way to learn how to prepare perfect fresh pastas and sauces. The event takes place on Valentine’s day from 5:30pm – 8pm, and tickets cost £150.

For a first date

Wave goodbye to first date nerves – we have the perfect places to stir up a little conversation!

Head to Bat and Ball for an evening of fun on one of their ping-pong tables. They also offer craft beers, cocktails, fresh pizzas and more – winner buys the first round! To really break the ice, why not head to one of their karaoke booths and put on your best performance?

Impress your date with your bowling skills at All Star Lanes followed by a bite to eat at the retro diner. They also serve the classic American milkshakes so you really feel like you’ve been transported back in time, along with delicious and creative cocktails. Maybe a margarita will help you make that strike...

For the gaming enthusiasts, visit Escape Bar Stratford for a night of quizzing, board games, and video games. With countless board games including the classic Jenga or the fun What Do You Meme alongside an Xbox One S, a PlayStation 4, a Nintendo Switch, and a Sega Mega Drive, you and your date will forget all those first-date nerves in a heartbeat.

For a drink

Dating a beer lover? Impress them by taking them to Tap East, home to a microbrewery and over 100 bottled beers (and 16 draft ales on tap). You’ll score some serious brownie points.

OutPost has a carefully selected drinks menu full of wine, craft beer, and a combination of Italian and classic cocktails. No matter what you or your date drinks, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

The Mezzanine is a world-class cocktail bar located in The Stratford with a menu full of modern techniques applied to the usual classics. All drinks are inspired by the New York cocktail scene in the 1930-1960s, and this is not an experience to miss. With a themed menu inspired by different lifestyles, from “the daydreamer” to “the botanist”, this will be a unique date that you’ll find hard to top next Valentine’s Day!
