Someone tying the laces on their running shoes

RunTalkRun comes to Stratford

Established in 2017, the organisation offers people the chance to join a running group with likeminded people, that’s also a safe space to chat, offload, meet new people and even network. RunTalkRun and its counterpart WalkTalkWalk are the brainchild of founder Jess Robson who discovered running to be a great outlet and positive influence on her own mental health.

Seeing the benefits of exercising regularly, Jess decided to start organising 5km runs in London for anyone who wanted a safe place to talk about their day – the highs and the lows – or even just make new friends. Once established, Jess found she had lots of community support, and volunteers across the country have since come forward to organise their own RunTalkRuns. Now, you’ll find them all over the world – from Seattle to Auckland!

Run Talk Run in Stratford runs every Tuesday, from Workable at 1 Westfield Avenue. The group meets at 5.30pm with the run beginning at 5.45pm and is actually led by founder Jess Robson herself. There’s a safe place for you to leave your belongings while you run.

If you work here at IQL in Stratford but live elsewhere in London, you can join more than one! There are runs all over the city: Southwark, Enfield, Hackney, Ealing, Brixton, Putney and Shepherd’s Bush (to name but a few).

To get a feel for the team behind the runs and what to expect, why not follow @runtalktun on Instagram, or even listen to the podcast with Jess on Apple Music or Podchaser.
