Loose Connections - Laura, Community Manager at Equiem

In celebration of our loose connections and the wonderful benefits they bring to our lives, we’re interviewing some of the very important people that you might meet if you work, live or visit Stratford.

Laura is a Community Manager at Equiem, our partner tenant experience platform here at IQL who have created our Life @ IQL app. Usually the brains behind the amazing activities organised for residents and visitors, she has had to adapt and evolve to the changing tides over 2020 and 2021 and engage with them online. We speak to her as she returns to more familiar territory with London opening up again.

Hi Laura! Tell us a bit about what you do for IQL?

My role as Community Manager ensures the IQL community is as happy and connected as possible. To do this, I organize fun activities, from boat cruises to ice cream giveaways and more. In lockdown, it was a little different, so I ensured we had plenty of online events and engaging content ensuring everyone had everything they needed whilst working from home.

Can you name somewhere you’re desperate to visit in Stratford?

Haugen, the new restaurant at the Pavilion. I cannot wait to enjoy views from the rooftop with a delicious glass of rosé!

We’ll see you there! Next up, which is your favourite time of day?

Mornings- I love waking up a little early to make the most of the light, especially in the summer.

What's your go-to pick me up?

Coffee is my absolute go to after breakfast. A flat white from Signorelli at IQL is just divine. Especially with an almond croissant.

Tell us something people can talk to you about. A passion or hobby.

Cycling. I live a stone's throw from Richmond Park and love exploring the park whilst on my two wheels.

Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?

My sister.

Can you tell us a goal you have for this year?

I would like to visit five new places in the UK. Padstow [in Cornwall] and Broadstairs [in Kent] are at the top of my list.
