Haugen opens up at IQL
Our beautiful timber Pavilion has transformed into a European dining experience. With all the comfort and cosiness of an Alpine lodge, Haugen Stratford is spread across three floors. The ground floor is home to a café where a sophisticated twist on Alpine delights is on the menu. Think Simmenthaler steak – tartare style. Or raclette and fondue served up with an assortment of speciality accompaniments.
The 1st floor is home to the restaurant, which is set to be a more formal experience with private dining options, whilst the rooftop bar is a spectacular venue for after-work drinks. If you like a view with your cocktail – we challenge you to find a better one.
On the topic of refreshments, the drinks list sounds just as appetising as the food. With thorough dedication to the après-ski theme, the aperitif and cognac options are endless, as are the cocktails which display a burst of creativity from the team at D&D Restaurants.
The interiors are colourful and chic. Exuberant fabrics and soft furnishings bring warmth while ample indoor greenery gives a homely atmosphere. The timber structure is visible indoors, whilst the floor to ceiling glass allows light (and views) to flood in to those lucky enough to bag a window seat.
The theme of Haugen Stratford is inspired by the area’s own Olympic legacy. Anders Haugen (Anders being the name used for Haugen’s predecessor at IQL – the Anders’ Terrace Popup) was a Norwegian-American ski jumper, one of the two American athletes who have ever won an Olympic medal in the sport.
You can find Haugen at 9 Endeavour Square, Stratford. Be sure to visit the Haugen website beforehand to browse the menus or book your table.
