COMING UP AT DISCOVERY CHILDREN'S STORY CENTRE
Looking for things to do in Stratford London for kids this weekend? Discovery Children's Centre is the first “Story Centre” in the UK. A place where children aged 0 – 11 can go to find a love of literature, language and storytelling.
It’s somewhere for families to go together, where purpose-built creative play spaces encourage them to use their imagination and create their own stories. Specially trained storytellers guide the children through the space and feed their imagination.
They have lots of themed events taking place each week, you can view them here.
And until September 2019, there will be a special exhibition children can access. The Tiger Who Came to Tea is an immersive experience which is built around 14 children’s books by Judith Kerr. Children will enjoy a story and then explore a world that introduces them to characters like Tiger, Mog the Cat and Katinka with the magical tail.
You can find Discovery at 383 – 387 High Street, Stratford. To book and find out more about the work they do, visit discover.org.uk.
