CLEAN AIR AT INTERNATIONAL QUARTER LONDON
Did you know International Quarter London, and the wider Stratford area is inside London’s designated low emission zone?
This means that 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the most polluting, heavy diesel vehicles are charged a fee for driving in particular parts of London. In 2020 the current standards are set to become even tougher, improving London’s air quality and encouraging large vehicles to become more environmentally friendly.
Thanks to the introduction of programmes like London’s LEZ, Stratford’s air quality has improved. Residents, visitors and people working in Stratford enjoy air pollution levels below that of other parts of the city. In October 2021, the new Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) will also extend to include the Stratford area.
