A major milestone has been reached at Lendlease and LCR’s International Quarter London development as the first residents moved into Lantana Heights at Glasshouse Gardens. Located at the gateway to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (QEOP), the 17-storey building is the first to complete on the project.
Residents will benefit from International Quarter London’s unique location – at the heart of one of London’s best connected areas surrounded by beautiful parkland, elite sporting and cultural venues, as well as world class shopping.
Glasshouse Gardens forms the residential element of the exciting new mixed-use neighbourhood that will also deliver over 1.2m sq. ft. of Grade A office space alongside exciting new retail and catering venues.
Like the office buildings, the apartments are connected to the District Heating Scheme located at QEOP and Stratford City which provides a more efficient generation of both heat and cooling with fewer carbon dioxide emissions than conventional systems. Build to meet Code for Sustainable Homes 4, each home has also been designed to maximise natural light and fresh air whilst providing spectacular views across London.
The first to move in, were local couple Mr. Kintali and Ms. Voonna who said “Stratford is a fast-developing area and there are lots of things that excite us about living at Glasshouse Gardens: the quality of the apartments, the proximity to the beautiful open space of the Olympic Park, being so close to one of the biggest malls in Europe and access to Stratford station.”
Momentum continues to build at the project which was recently granted planning permission for a 600,000 sq. ft. office building and has already pre-let to two office buildings to the FCA and TfL respectively.
Those at Lantana Heights will be joined next year by the residents of the 219 apartments in the neighbouring Cassia Point and 3000 Transport for London staff when their new office building opens.
